Description
This cart works on every Gameboy system – GB, MGB, GBC, GBA, GBA SP and the Game Boy Player. Games that require more than 1MB of ROM won’t work.
Comes in a generic Gameboy cartridge. Each unit is assembled in house and is tested on a Gameboy Advance.
Updated revision PCB v2.1 (requires quick soldering):
– Allows for a custom boot logo which takes 16KB, if your game takes up the full 512KB flash, the last 16KB bank will be overwritten. The custom boot logo works on the DMG (only 05 tested, 03 not working), Pocket, GBC (05, 03) and GBA 40pin (CPU AGB). Some 32KB games might not work. The original boot logo will appear on all other devices. Note: If you power off and power on the GB too quickly, the custom boot logo might not be displayed. Seems to affect the DMG the most. Doesn’t boot at all on the Analogue Pocket if the custom boot logo is enabled.
– Allows for 8KB RAM locking useful for MBC1 games like Donkey Kong Country 3.
– Allows for MBC1 ROM banking – requests for bank 0 gives bank 1, useful for games like the original Zelda – Link’s Awakening.

Specs
ROM: 1MB Flash
SRAM: 128KB battery backed with a CR2025 (should last 8 years or more) or CR2032 (should last 10 years or more)
MBC: MBC5 (with ROM banking range 0x2000 – 0x3000 to allow for some MBC3/1 games) (with MBC1 mode by bridging 2 pads).
Most MBC3 games should work.
Orders place after 25 Sep 2020:
MBC1 games that won’t work: Any that needs more than 8KB RAM or more than 1MB of ROM. Games must be flashed on MBC5 mode first.
Orders placed before 25 Sep 2020:
MBC1 games that won’t work: Any that needs more than 8KB RAM or 512KB of ROM.
The PCB finish is ENIG.
LSDJ users who use the custom boot logo should know it will fail the ROM check because it’s missing the last 16KB bank (which is all blank) so you will need to restore an existing save file to it first and it will work fine.
